Alright, here's what I thought of the ones I read. You can dciede which would be best suited for you. =)Across Five Aprils I read this at least 5 years ago, and to be truthful, I don't remember much of it, except that I didn't like it much while I was reading it. It was pretty short (since you mentioned you like short books). It has something to do with the US Civil War Island of the Blue Dolphins Ok, my class had to read this book in 6th grade; most of us loved it but I hated it. This one is also pretty short easy to read. It's about a girl who belongs to an Indian tribe (I think) and gets stranded alone on an island. The book follows her as she tries to survive.Treasure Island I like it. =) It might take you a little while to get used to the old-fashioned language, but that's not a big deal. Another short book. It's basically THE pirate story.I didn't read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, but I did read Twain's Adv. of Tom Sawyer and I liked it. It was very easy to read and fun, so I imagine Huck Finn to be the same. I read one or two books by Avi when I was younger but I didn't like them much; though, on the other hand, Avi was a favorite of one of my friends at the time.All in all, I recommend Treasure Island, but you should pick what interests you most. =)Constant reader.
